KATSEYE appeared in a “Dream Academy” sketch during the season 52 premiere of *Saturday Night Live* on 26 September. The sketch spoofed the reality competition that formed the group, with four members acting as judges for a chaotic new class of aspiring pop stars, trained by choreographer Dorian Fylnt, played by host Jalen Brunson.

The contestants’ messy auditions and rehearsals culminated in a music video debut, “Guardians of the Mist”, featuring KATSEYE. The group was formed two years ago through a joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records, and released its debut EP in 2024. KATSEYE also performed “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti” as the episode’s musical guest; four members appeared, while Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza are on hiatus to focus on their mental health. The group’s 31-date Wildworld Tour began in Europe and is due to reach North America in October.
