SoCal snags massive Princess Diana exhibit — including tragic never-seen ‘Final Goodbye’ dress, how to see it
A major Princess Diana exhibition, “Diana: Love Life Legacy — A Life of Giving”, opens on 7 November at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, near Los Angeles. Its centrepiece is a black dress Diana tried on before travelling to Paris in August 1997; it has never been shown publicly, and still has fitting pins in its straps.
The 10,000-square-foot exhibition spans two levels and includes more than 700 items tracing Diana’s life, royal role, public profile and humanitarian work. Other displays include her midnight-blue “Travolta dress”, a floral dress associated with hospital visits, her “Black Sheep” sweater, wedding slippers, letters and keepsakes. The exhibition runs until 31 May 2027; adult tickets cost $29.95.
