Sombr surprised the Lollapalooza crowd in Chicago by bringing 5 Seconds of Summer onstage during his Thursday-night set, where they performed the band’s hit “She Looks So Perfect”. The guest appearance added to a high-energy mainstage performance and underlined Sombr’s growing profile following a breakout year of major festival and awards-show appearances.

Dressed in black and arriving from backstage in a car, Sombr performed with his band against a New York street-sign set before entering the audience carrying a flag bearing his name and Lollapalooza. His set included recent releases “My Body Isn’t Ready”, “Potential” and “Homewrecker”; he will begin a North American tour this autumn, ending at Madison Square Garden in New York on 23 November.
