Sony has delayed the launch of its official PS5 fight stick, FlexStrike, indefinitely, scrapping its planned release on 6 August 2026. The key new development is that the accessory will now miss the launch day of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which matters because the two products were due to arrive together and the controller is aimed at fighting-game players.

Sony said the delay was caused by unexpected production issues and that it is taking extra time to finish the product properly, but it has not given a new release date. In an updated PlayStation Blog post, the company said it would share more information soon and apologised for the delay. Pre-orders are still expected to be honoured, with customers due to receive shipping updates through their retailer. FlexStrike had originally been scheduled to launch on 6 August 2026, the same day as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
