Sony launches Bravia 6 OLED range from $1,300

The Verge · 2 hours ago

Sony has announced the Bravia 6 OLED, a lower-priced model intended to compete directly with mid-range OLED televisions from Samsung and LG. It broadens Sony’s TV range by offering OLED features below the company’s Bravia 8 models, potentially making its sets more accessible to buyers who want gaming and premium-format support without choosing Sony’s highest-end televisions.

The Bravia 6 will be available in 48-, 55-, 65-, 77- and 83-inch sizes, priced from $1,300 to $4,000. It has a 120Hz panel, four HDMI 2.1 ports, Google TV with Gemini voice control, and support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X; Sony has not confirmed whether it supports Dolby Vision 2. The television also includes a redesigned remote with a built-in microphone and reorganised controls.

  • Sony launches a more affordable Bravia OLED range.
  • It targets LG C6 and Samsung S90H rivals.
  • Prices start at $1,300 for 48 inches.
