SOPHIE LLOYD Reimagines AVENGED SEVENFOLD’s ‘Nightmare’ In A Cinematic Horror Music Video

British guitarist Sophie Lloyd has released an instrumental version of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Nightmare”, paired with a horror-themed music video. The release revisits a song she first covered on YouTube in 2012 and pays tribute to a band she says has influenced her playing.

Filmed by Dean Addison in a former UK Cold War bunker, the video follows Lloyd as a patient in an abandoned medical wing who undergoes experiments and becomes a possessed, guitar-wielding demon. Lloyd says she used chromatic runs and minor-interval harmonies to build tension, and is turning to more covers and original music after touring with MGK.
