Adam Demos, star of the new film Spa Weekend, discussed the challenges of filming key comedic and romantic scenes alongside co-star Leslie Mann in a new interview with Collider. Demos plays Kai, a yoga instructor who develops an age-gap romance with Mann's character Jane during the film, and revealed that castmate Isla made scenes especially difficult to film because he struggled not to laugh during her improvised lines.

Demos praised the film's directors for encouraging cast members to improvise and deviate from the script when it felt natural, which he credited for the authentic chemistry between his character and Mann's. He singled out a scene involving strippers on his first day of filming as particularly hard to get through without breaking character, and discussed how he and Mann approached a comedic hand massage scene, crediting her performance for making the moment work despite its inherently silly premise. He also touched briefly on the possibility of a Spa Weekend sequel.
