Sparks are releasing their first official live album, marking a milestone in the veteran art-rock duo's career spanning more than 57 years. Titled *Live on The Moon*, the record documents a concert Ron and Russell Mael staged at the Taruntius Crater near Mare Fecunditatis following their 2025 world tour, and it is due out on 14 August via Transgressive Records.

The 20-track album features a career-spanning setlist, including songs such as "The Number One Song in Heaven" and "Drowned in a Sea of Tears," performed with the band's touring line-up of guitarists Eli Pearl and Evan Weiss, bassist Max Whipple and drummer Darren Weiss. Sparks said tickets for the show sold out within an hour of going on sale, and that actress Cate Blanchett joined them to help pass the time during the four-day journey to the Moon. The band have also confirmed a run of UK and European tour dates for August, and pre-orders for the album are now open.
