Insomniac Games has released a new update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, adding cosmetic and technical enhancements timed to the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. The patch introduces two free suits, including one inspired by the forthcoming movie, and adds a Power Saver mode aimed at players wanting better performance on standard PS5 consoles rather than a PS5 Pro.

The release forms part of Sony's wider push to bring PS5 Pro-level optimisations to already-released first-party titles, following similar treatment for franchises such as Horizon. As Spider-Man 2 originally launched in October 2023, the update helps keep the game visually competitive on newer hardware and gives both existing and new players fresh reasons to return to it.
