Sony and Marvel Studios' "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" shattered a string of box office records over its opening weekend, taking $360 million domestically and $932 million worldwide. The film's haul surpasses milestones previously set by "Avengers: Endgame" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home", marking a significant moment for the franchise, its studio and several of its stars and producers.

The film beat Endgame's $357.1 million domestic opening and its $402 million weekend for all films, posting a $430 million frame instead. It also set records for advance ticket sales ($150 million), US previews ($72 million) and Friday takings ($169.8 million), while delivering the biggest openings ever for Sony Pictures, director Destin Daniel Cretton, star Zendaya, producer Amy Pascal and the Spider-Man franchise itself, plus the biggest domestic opening for Tom Holland and producer Kevin Feige. It also broke all-time opening records in territories including France, India, Brazil, Spain and several others.
