Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, achieved an estimated $927 million at the global box office over its opening weekend, making it the second-biggest opening in box office history. It narrowly missed overtaking Avengers: Endgame's 2019 record, though it did secure the biggest-ever opening for a Sony or Spider-Man film and helped drive the highest collective domestic box office weekend on record.

Domestically, the film starring Tom Holland and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton took an estimated $355 million across 4,487 theatres, with a further $572 million from international markets. This falls just short of Endgame's $357.1 million domestic and $1.2 billion global opening, though the domestic gap is close enough that final Sunday figures could still shift the ranking. The film did set records for the biggest preview and opening-day sales of all time, and contributed the bulk of a record $430 million domestic weekend total, ahead of releases including The Odyssey, Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters and Moana.
