Spotify has launched Fresh Finds Forward, a new support programme designed to help artists capitalise on exposure gained through the platform's Fresh Finds playlists. Artists selected for Fresh Finds playlists from 1 January 2026 onwards can now access 12 months of additional resources and benefits, representing a significant investment by Spotify in supporting emerging talent. This initiative addresses a gap where playlist placement alone, whilst invaluable for discovery, does not guarantee ongoing success for musicians navigating a competitive industry.

The programme offers participating artists an array of benefits including free studio time at prestigious facilities: Electric Lady Studios in New York, The Lighthouse at Ocean Way in Nashville, and Spotify Music Studios in Los Angeles (for US-based artists). Additional support includes early access to new Spotify tools and features, priority access to touring and music video partnership opportunities, 12 months of complimentary access to Landr Studio Pro and Splice's Creator Plan, and notably, six months of free mental health support through BetterHelp. Importantly, Spotify has confirmed that the programme does not alter artists' royalty rates and is provided entirely free of charge, distinguishing it from the company's previous Discovery Mode, which offered promotional benefits in exchange for reduced royalty payments.
