Polygon · 2 hours ago

Sprite Spree Week will run in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 from 15 to 19 August, increasing the spawn chances of different sprite types each day. It gives players a final opportunity to collect sprites before they carry over as cosmetic items into Season 4.

– 15 August: Mythic Hours run from 2–4pm EDT, alongside the Unstable Story Moment; a second 9–11pm EDT session is also listed.
– 16–19 August: Galaxy, Holo, Cube and Gem sprites respectively are expected to receive 24-hour boosts, beginning at 9am EDT each day.
– Outside Saturday, players are expected to receive a Lucky Sprite Locator, double sprite XP and free sprite-dust use; Epic had not confirmed the later days’ start time.

  • Sprite spawn rates increase daily from 15 to 19 August.
  • Mythic Hours coincide with Fortnite’s live story event.
  • Collected sprites carry over into Season 4 cosmetics.

Fortnite is an online battle royale game made by Epic Games, where players compete in changing seasons that introduce new locations, items and activities. Each season has its own rewards and collectible features, some of which are only available for a limited time.

Sprites are collectible in-game characters or items that can appear during matches, with different types carrying different levels of rarity. Players can use tools and bonuses to find them more easily and earn experience, while sprite dust is a resource linked to the activity.

Seasonal events often raise the chance of particular collectibles appearing for set periods. The event is relevant to players hoping to complete sprite collections before the next season, when the items are expected to remain available as cosmetics rather than match collectibles.
