Tottenham have opened talks to sign Napoli-linked striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray, though the two clubs remain some way apart on valuation, in one of several stories doing the rounds in Monday's transfer gossip column. Elsewhere, Arsenal are close to completing a major midfield signing from Newcastle, while Manchester City's Jack Grealish is attracting interest from Spain amid an otherwise busy day of Premier League and EFL movement.

Spurs have made an initial approach worth up to £55m for Osimhen, 27, well short of Galatasaray's £65m asking price, and have also held positive but so far fruitless talks over Liverpool's Cody Gakpo, 26. Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes, 28, is set for an Arsenal medical in a deal worth nearly £80m, while Grealish, 30, is being considered by Atletico Madrid alongside interest from Everton and Aston Villa.
