St Helens and Hull FC confirm Dublin double-header
St Helens will play Hull FC in Dublin on Sunday, 25 April 2027, as the second fixture in a Super League double-header staged in Ireland. Saints chairman Eamonn McManus confirmed the partnership before the two clubs' Thursday evening league match, saying it would supplement a Saturday fixture already announced between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors, which will be the first Super League game played in Ireland.
Both games will be held at the Laya Arena, the refurbished 20,000-capacity Dublin venue formerly known as the RDS Arena and home to Leinster rugby union, which reopened earlier this month. Hull FC chairman Andrew Thirkell welcomed the move, saying supporters enjoy making occasions of away fixtures, while McManus said the weekend would help showcase rugby league to an Irish audience he believes will embrace the sport.
