St. Vincent (Annie Clark) is bringing full orchestral arrangements of her back catalogue to a short US tour, culminating with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on 2 August. The move follows her appearance at the BBC Proms, which was recorded and released as the live album "Live in London!", and marks the first time she has fully embraced symphonic orchestration for songs originally written without it.

Clark told Variety the idea grew directly out of the euphoria she felt performing with an orchestra at the Proms alongside conductor and co-arranger Jules Buckley and keyboard player and arranger Rachel Eckroth, prompting her to seek further shows immediately afterwards. The California leg features three dates this week: San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall with the San Francisco Symphony on Thursday, San Diego's Rady Shell at Jacobs Park with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, and the Hollywood Bowl with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra on Sunday, with catalogue favourites such as "Hell Is Near", "Violent Times", "Black Rainbow" and "Paris Is Burning" reworked for orchestra.
