Staind Unleash “Ghosts,” First New Song in Three Years: Stream
Staind have released “Ghosts”, their first new song in three years, as a standalone single and say more music will follow soon. The radio-ready hard-rock track signals what the band describes as the start of its next era.
Recorded in Nashville with producer Erik Ron, the song grew from a riff guitarist Mike Mushok came up with during a writing session and was assembled in a day. It pairs heavy guitar work with Aaron Lewis’ melodic vocals and a guttural scream; its release follows the announcement of a 2027 North American leg of Staind’s tour marking 25 years since their seven-times-platinum 2001 album *Break the Cycle*.

Staind are an American hard-rock band formed in the 1990s, known for songs that combine heavy guitars with melodic vocals. Singer Aaron Lewis and guitarist Mike Mushok are among the band’s best-known members.
Their 2001 album Break the Cycle brought them major commercial success, including the songs “It’s Been Awhile” and “Outside”. The band’s return with new music comes as it prepares to mark 25 years since that album with a North American tour.
