Indie racing game Star Racer has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, with a release planned for the third quarter of 2026. The game is being positioned as a retro-styled, high-speed alternative for fans awaiting a new F-Zero, combining futuristic racing with more modern modes and features.

Originally shown on Kickstarter in November 2023, the Switch version was tied to a stretch goal. Star Racer will include aerial racing and combat, a track editor, rotating event races, and local split-screen multiplayer for up to four players; its soundtrack includes contributions from Grant Kirkhope alongside Mason Lieberman and Jules Conroy.
