Star Trek: Deep Space Nine returns as Una McCormack novel following Jake Sisko

Collider · 11 hours ago

Author Una McCormack is set to release a new official tie-in novel, *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Peacemakers*, published under the Pocket Books imprint, continuing the story of the long-concluded television series. The book matters to fans because it revisits the *Deep Space Nine* universe and its lingering unresolved threads, chiefly the fate of Benjamin Sisko and the legacy his son Jake is left to shoulder.

The novel places Jake Sisko at the centre of the narrative, picking up five years after the end of the Dominion War and sending him into another politically turbulent region of the galaxy. Jake has recently returned to Earth after travelling through the Gamma Quadrant and has been writing a book about life following the Dominion's collapse. Outwardly his life looks settled — a solid career, wide experience and a connection to a major figure in Bajoran history — but that very connection to his father proves to be his greatest complication.

  • Una McCormack's new novel *DS9: The Peacemakers* is coming from Pocket Books.
  • It follows Jake Sisko five years after the Dominion War.
  • Jake's tie to his father Benjamin Sisko becomes his biggest problem.
