Star Wars Officially Brings Back Mace Windu for New 2026 Release

Collider · 3 hours ago

Star Wars is bringing Mace Windu back in an official merchandise release, rather than in a new film or television appearance. The Samuel L. Jackson character will be included in a new Star Wars: Legion figure set, giving fans a new version of the Jedi Master despite his absence from live-action since Revenge of the Sith.

Asmodee’s Jedi Council Commander Expansion will contain four collectible figures: Mace Windu, Shaak Ti, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Plo Koon. The set is scheduled for release on 21 August 2026, amid a mixed year for the franchise that has included acclaim for Maul — Shadow Lord but weak box-office performance for The Mandalorian and Grogu.

  • Mace Windu returns as a Star Wars: Legion figure.
  • The four-figure set releases on 21 August 2026.
  • This is merchandise, not a new live-action appearance.
