Star Wars Unlimited is changing forever thanks to this one major card

Polygon · 3 hours ago

Fantasy Flight Games has announced significant changes for Star Wars: Unlimited through its forthcoming Homeworlds set, signalling continued investment in the trading card game. The most notable addition is a Grand Moff Tarkin leader card that can deploy the Death Star to destroy an opponent’s base at 10 health or below, potentially reshaping late-game strategy.

Due in October, Homeworlds will contain more than 260 cards and introduce Chewbacca and Tarkin pre-constructed Spotlight Decks. It also adds Beast and Weakness tokens, plus the Fortify keyword, which for the first time allows players to upgrade bases; Fantasy Flight also previewed several 2027 sets and confirmed sector qualifiers in Berlin, Indianapolis, Fort Worth and Turin before a regional championship in Utrecht.

  • Homeworlds introduces major new Star Wars: Unlimited mechanics.
  • Tarkin’s Death Star ability can immediately destroy weakened bases.
  • Fantasy Flight outlined future sets and competitive events.
