Messhof will release Blood Dungeon on Steam for Windows PC on 25 August, positioning it as a distinctive entrant in the crowded “bullet heaven” genre popularised by Vampire Survivors. The game combines automatic weapon attacks and upgrade choices with 2D platforming, meaning players must navigate terrain as well as avoid large groups of enemies.

Polygon’s writer says an early Steam Deck session at Summer Game Fest was immediately absorbing, praising its simple controls, crude visual style and competitive leaderboards. Other attendees reportedly placed it among their favourite games of the event, while its public Steam demo has generated positive word of mouth; the game is currently available to try for free ahead of release.
