Steam Machine reservation queue should be caught up by the end of 2026, Valve says

PC Gamer · 3 hours ago

Valve says it expects to clear the reservation queue for its new Steam Machine by the end of 2026. The estimate matters because limited initial supply means customers who secured a reservation may still wait months before receiving an invitation to buy the compact SteamOS gaming PC.

Reservations closed on 25 June and were allocated through a one-off randomised queue rather than on a first-come, first-served basis, intended to reduce bot buying and reselling. Eligible customers needed a Steam account in good standing with a previous purchase before 27 April 2026, and purchases are limited to one per household; people placed on the waitlist may move up if reservations are cancelled.

  • Valve expects Steam Machine reservations to be fulfilled by end-2026.
  • Limited supply prompted a randomised reservation system.
  • Waitlisted customers may advance if others cancel.
