Stephen Bishop has released “I Don’t Know You Anymore”, an unreleased song recorded for his 1975 debut album Careless, to mark the album’s 50th anniversary. Its release gives listeners a newly available track from an album best known for the yacht-rock staple “On & On”, and reflects the record’s continuing appeal across generations.

The song, alongside another outtake, “Back Again”, appears on a limited anniversary vinyl edition released on 14 August, with a 20-page booklet. Careless featured musicians including Eric Clapton, Art Garfunkel and Chaka Khan; “On & On” reached No. 11 and “Save It for a Rainy Day” No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. Bishop will mark the anniversary with an event at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on 9 October.
