Nicely Entertainment has expanded its cosy crime franchise Trivia Night Mysteries, wrapping production on two new TV movies, Fit for a Murder and A Fatal Lesson, the second and third instalments in the series. Written by Emmy-nominated Family Guy writer Steve Callaghan and directed by Vincenzo Conrorio, the films see stars Morgan Bradley and Alex Trumble return as amateur sleuth Sara Keane and lawyer Reid Taggart. The expansion, announced ahead of the MIPCOM market in Cannes next month, signals growing confidence in the franchise's international appeal as Nicely seeks buyers for the property.

The franchise debut, Trivia Night Mysteries: A Question of Murder, is set for its TV and streaming premiere in 2027, with the two newly completed films expected to follow later that year and pre-production already under way on further instalments. In Fit for a Murder, Keane investigates the strangling of her editor while fact-checking a fitness magazine; in A Fatal Lesson, she probes the death of a school superintendent pushed from a height at a fundraiser. Callaghan, who devised the series from his love of whodunits and pandemic-era trivia nights, serves as an executive producer and showrunner alongside Nicely's Vanessa Shapiro and Scott Kirkpatrick.
