Sting-Narrated Documentary About ‘The Godfather,’ ‘La Dolce Vita’ Composer Nino Rota Boarded by Global Constellation (EXCLUSIVE)
Global Constellation has acquired international sales rights to “Nino: A Film About Nino Rota”, a Sting-narrated documentary due to premiere out of competition at the Venice Film Festival. The film examines the life and continuing influence of Rota, whose scores for films including “The Godfather” and Federico Fellini’s classics helped shape modern cinema.
Directed by Walter Fasano, Luca Guadagnino’s longtime editor, the documentary uses an associative approach and features contributors including Alexandre Desplat, Park Chan-wook and Vince Mendoza. Rota won an Oscar for “The Godfather Part II” and also composed for “La Dolce Vita”, “8½”, “Amarcord” and “The Leopard”; the film will be co-released in Italy by Be Water Film and Adler Entertainment.
