Stokes stars as leaders Durham hammer Derbyshire
Durham strengthened their push for promotion with a record 338-run County Championship victory over Derbyshire, completed inside three days at Derby. Durham declared their second innings on 295-6, setting Derbyshire 423 to win after McKinney struck 140 from 162 balls and Stokes hit an unbeaten 66 from 55. Matthew Potts took 5-46 in Derbyshire’s first-innings 156 and 3-22 in the second, while Stokes claimed 5-17 as Derbyshire were dismissed for 84; it was their heaviest defeat by runs in their history. Durham earned 20 points and Derbyshire three.
