Stormlight Archive 6 Gets a Major Official Update From Brandon Sanderson

Brandon Sanderson has begun outlining the sixth Stormlight Archive novel, marking the start of work on the series’ second half. The book is not being written yet, but the early planning is part of a long-term schedule for completing the remaining five novels.

Sanderson plans to spend 2027 outlining books six to ten and aims to start writing book six in January 2028, depending on progress on Ghostbloods 2 and 3. He expects the first two or three books of the second half to arrive every two or three years from around 2031. He also reported that the second draft of his Mistborn film script is 35% complete, up from about 25% the previous week.
