Streaming guide JustWatch becomes a streamer itself
JustWatch, the streaming search guide used by 50 million people, has launched JustWatch TV, expanding from helping users find programmes to streaming content itself. The company says the service will grow its audience while continuing to direct viewers to other streaming platforms.
The service is available through JustWatch’s existing apps and website in 12 markets, including the U.K., U.S., Ireland and Australia, with content from 30 partners. It offers a free, ad-supported tier and JustWatch TV Plus, which costs $3.99 a month or $49.99 for a lifetime subscription; the U.S. Plus tier includes more than 300 ad-free titles. A rental store is initially available in five markets.
