Paramount Pictures and Legendary have unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming Street Fighter film, the latest attempt to bring the long-running fighting game franchise to the big screen. Previous adaptations, most notoriously 2009's Legend of Chun-Li, have been poorly received, but this trailer has been praised for embracing the series' inherent absurdity through faithful recreations of its characters, costumes and signature moves, raising hopes for a more successful adaptation.

Alongside the standard trailer, an interactive version has also been released on YouTube, simulating an arcade cabinet experience in which viewers complete quick-time events by clicking joystick and button prompts. Reaction to some casting choices has been mixed, with David Dastmalchian's take on villain M. Bison drawing scepticism, though overall enthusiasm remains high. The film is set to open in cinemas on 16th October 2026.
