‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe’ Panel Teases DC Episode, OG Returns As ‘Big Bang Theory’ Franchise Makes Comic-Con Return

The cast and creators of The Big Bang Theory spin-off Stuart Fails To Save the Universe returned to San Diego Comic-Con eight years after the original sitcom’s last appearance there. At a Hall H panel following a screening of the premiere, they previewed a more ambitious, effects-heavy series and said further familiar faces from The Big Bang Theory would appear, underlining the franchise’s continued expansion.

Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, John Ross Bowie and Brian Posehn joined creators Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Zak Penn on stage. DC Comics chief Jim Lee also made a surprise appearance to tease an episode involving DC characters, including Mr Freeze; he praised the show’s interpretation of the characters and its 10-episode story arc, while revealing he designed a tie-in comic cover.
