According to Adams's pitch, his character Mike Ross and Rachel Zane, played by Meghan Markle, would be working on a class-action lawsuit against a large AI company when old secrets and illegal dealings from their time at Pearson Hardman threaten to resurface. The idea would reportedly reunite original cast members Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Rick Hoffman, whose characters' careers would be at risk of being derailed by the revelations. Adams described the premise as Mike's drive to "do good" reuniting the team for one last chance to clear their names and secure their futures. The original *Suits* ran from 2011, and its Netflix resurgence in 2023 made it the most-streamed programme in the US that year, prompting NBC to commission *Suits LA*.
