Supermotocross champion Levi Kitchen wants to try tournament bass fishing when he hangs up his helmet
Levi Kitchen, the newly crowned 2026 Monster Energy SMX 250 Class World Champion, hopes to try professional tournament bass fishing after he retires from motocross. A recent celebrity fishing event gave the 25-year-old a taste of competition and increased his respect for the time and commitment the sport demands.
Kitchen took part in the Bassmaster Classic Celebrity Pro-Am with angler Tristan McCormick, catching a few fish although the pair did not place highly. Raised in Washington state, he began fly fishing as a teenager and still makes an annual steelhead trip with his father, while bass fishing is now a main interest in Florida. He says fishing offers a calmer contrast to racing, while still giving him a way to compete.
