‘Supernatural’ Officially Returns With 2 New Spin-Offs for Sam & Dean
Dynamite Comics has announced that the Supernatural franchise is returning in October 2026 with two new interconnected comic-book series, splitting up brothers Sam and Dean Winchester for the first time. The series, titled Supernatural: Dean Winchester and Supernatural: Sam Winchester, mark an expansion of the show's legacy beyond the screen, continuing its afterlife through comics following its television conclusion. The move represents one of the more significant attempts to keep the Supernatural universe alive for fans since the original series ended.
The two titles will follow each brother separately after they are divided by an unspecified incident in an upcoming one-shot called Supernatural Special: Wayward, which will set up the split. Despite running as standalone books, the Dean and Sam series are designed to overlap and interconnect, in what Dynamite is describing as its most ambitious Supernatural project to date.
