Disney+ has greenlit "House of Fates," a new spinoff of its record-breaking Korean divination competition series "Battle of Fates," produced and written by the team behind the original show. The move marks Disney+'s first spinoff of the franchise since "Battle of Fates" premiered, underlining the streamer's push to build quickly on the format's popularity and expand its slate of Korean variety content, though no release date has yet been announced.

Filmed on location in Korea, "House of Fates" will be fronted by the three top-placing fate readers from "Battle of Fates," occasionally joined by other contestants from the original series, as they travel to sites linked to Korean spiritual practice, take part in local ceremonies and communal meals, and undergo personal fate readings and shamanic rituals. "Battle of Fates," which pitted masters of shamanism, tarot, saju and other divination disciplines against each other, premiered on 11 February and became Disney+ Korea's biggest series debut based on 12-day viewership; local adaptations of the format are also being developed in other markets.
