‘Supernatural’s Sam Winchester Officially Gets His Own Series Without Jared Padalecki
A new comic, *Supernatural: Sam Winchester #1*, gives Sam a story of his own, despite Jared Padalecki not being involved in its creation. The release extends the franchise beyond the television series, which ended in 2020, and puts Sam in a new supernatural mystery.
The comic is set at an unspecified point during the show’s earlier seasons and follows Sam in Appalachia as he faces eldritch horrors. Padalecki’s likeness appears, and a photograph of him is used on a variant cover; Jensen Ackles was similarly absent from an earlier Dean Winchester comic except for his likeness. The next issue is due on 4 November 2026.
