Suika Game and its sequel Suika Game Planet have unexpectedly launched on PS5, years after they first became popular on other platforms. The pair of simple fruit-matching puzzle games arrived on the PlayStation Store without any prior announcement, giving PS5 owners official access to titles that had previously only been available elsewhere, and helping fans avoid the various unofficial clones on the store.

Each game costs $2.99/£2.49. In the original Suika Game, players match falling fruits that merge into larger ones when they touch, progressing from cherry up to watermelon, while Suika Game Planet uses the same mechanic within a circular play area rather than a rectangular one. Sister site Nintendo Life previously rated the original 7/10, describing it as a "competent and addictive little puzzler."
