Susanna Hoffs, best known as co-founder of The Bangles, has announced a new solo album, The List, due for release on 18 September on her own Baroque Folk label. It will be her first collection of entirely new material since 2012's Someday, marking a significant return to original songwriting after her 2024 release The Lost Record consisted of previously unreleased 1990s recordings.

The 12-track album was produced by CJ Camerieri, known for his work with Bon Iver and Paul Simon, with contributions from collaborators including Rufus Wainwright, Dan Wilson and Edie Brickell. Its lead single, "Casablanca", has also been released and was inspired by a 1988 encounter with Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir in New Orleans. Hoffs will support the record with a US tour beginning 5 September in Los Angeles, including dates opening for Billy Idol, festival appearances, and a five-night residency at The Carlyle in New York from 24 September.
