Roxette’s planned 40th-anniversary North American tour has been postponed after Live Nation US cited logistical challenges and sharply increased touring costs. The decision matters because the US is Roxette’s largest streaming market, yet the reconfigured act has not substantially tested its live drawing power there since the 1990s.

The 14-date September and October itinerary had included Toronto, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles, with Taylor Dayne and Nick Lowe also due to appear. Per Gessle said he, singer Lena Philipsson and the band were disappointed, while hoping to return to the US and Canada; dates in Germany and Switzerland remain scheduled. Roxette reunited in 2024 after original singer Marie Fredriksson died in 2019, and its billion-view hit “It Must Have Been Love” features the original pairing.
