Switzerland is one of the featured countries at the Venice Film Festival's Production Bridge, with seven Swiss projects and co-productions selected for the Gap-Financing Market from a record field of more than 370 submissions. The showcase brings together established and emerging Swiss filmmakers presenting works in progress that span natural disaster, migration, cross-cultural romance, murder mystery, science fiction and the creative process, underlining Switzerland's growing profile in international co-production financing.

The lineup, part of 38 fiction and documentary projects overall, includes Flurin Giger's debut feature "A Year Without Summer", a period drama set in 1816 about a peasant family facing the fallout of the Tambora volcanic eruption, produced by Geneva's Beauvoir Films and Cologne's Heimatfilm. Also featured is Stéphanie Argerich's first narrative feature, "Kyushu Moon", starring Alba Rohrwacher as a journalist forming an unlikely bond with a Japanese man at a relationship retreat, produced by Intermezzo Films and Les Films du Bélier. Other participants include Ursula Meier, Valentin Merz, Kaveh Bakhtiari, Laura Israel and Alberto Fasulo, several of whom have prior Cannes, Locarno and Berlin credits.
