Sylvan Esso Line Up New Album Ow
Developing story first seen 4 hours ago
Sylvan Esso have announced their first album in four years, titled Ow, marking the North Carolina duo's follow-up to No Rules Sandy. It will be the first release on the pair's own Psychic Hotline label, which they launched in 2018, and comes as the group continues to build momentum after pulling their music from Spotify last year.
The album is due for release on 11 September, preceded by album listening events worldwide on 3 September. Its 12-track listing includes the previously released single "Hot Slob" and new single "Concrete Glen", which samples Sigur Rós's "Svefn-g-englar" and arrives with a video directed by Aaron Anderson and Eric Timothy Carlson. Contributors to the record include Glenn Kotche, Jenn Wasner and BJ Burton, and the release will be supported by an extensive North American tour beginning this autumn, with a second leg following in early 2027.
