Syrian man, 27, charged with sexually assaulting two teenage girls in hotel
A 27-year-old Syrian national, Ahmad Hania, has been charged with sexually assaulting two teenage girls at a hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Police were called to the hotel on Monday evening following reports of a sex attack, and Hania was subsequently arrested at his home in Nuneaton before being charged.
Hania faces one count of sexual assault on a female, one count of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 16, and one count of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 16. He appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, where he was remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 17 September. Warwickshire Police said it is supporting both alleged victims and their families.
