T-Mobile Launches New Student Discounts for Wireless Plans That Include Netflix, Apple TV, and Hulu
T-Mobile has launched a new Student Perks range of wireless plans in the US, offering discounted access to its Essentials and Experience tiers for qualifying students. The move is aimed at cash-strapped students during the Back-to-School season and forms part of a wider push by the carrier to make its services more affordable and accessible, alongside a new financing scheme.
The plans start at $30 a month (with a further $5 off via AutoPay) and include unlimited 5G/4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, and nationwide 5G coverage. The pricier "Experience" tiers bundle in discounted access to Netflix, Hulu and Apple TV, a package that would normally cost around $34 a month, alongside perks such as free DoorDash DashPass, weekly T-Mobile Tuesday deals and $5 cinema tickets. T-Mobile is also introducing "EIP Flex 36", a financing plan letting well-qualified customers get a new phone with no upfront payment, and has extended its 0% APR financing to 36 months.
