Taiwan Creative Content Fest Opens as Chair Sue Wang Says ‘Culture Is Power’ Amid AI Shift
Sue Wang opened the seventh Taiwan Creative Content Fest in Taipei, arguing that AI is changing creative industries but cannot replace the human elements that move audiences. She urged Taiwan to use its technological strengths to improve people’s lives, saying cultural content can help build a happier society.
The four-day event brings together 107 market exhibitors from seven countries and features 92 project and story pitches across film, television, animation, documentaries, publishing and comics. Participants from 28 countries are attending, while 12 forum sessions with more than 20 speakers will discuss subjects including international co-production, streaming consolidation, intellectual property and AI. Taiwan’s culture minister said the festival has grown from an exhibition into a market and international platform, with ambitions to become an Asian creative-content brand.
