Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick said his unexpected appearance as a playable character in WWE 2K26 was his own idea, intended as a humorous reference for industry insiders and fans. He confirmed that he will not appear in Grand Theft Auto 6, ruling out speculation that the WWE cameo might lead to a role in the forthcoming game.
Zelnick performed motion capture for the character, who has an in-game rating of 77 and a bespoke entrance featuring Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”. He said the content performed well despite a largely puzzled online response, and reiterated his view that WWE 2K could grow to double or triple its current size through continued improvements and new features consistent with the brand.
