Rather than panicking, the pair reportedly sat on the floor to wait it out and turned to social media for help, posting a message to Prada's Instagram account asking for someone to free them from the lift.

The Maggie May singer, who has sold more than 100 million records and been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, waited with his son as assistance failed to arrive promptly. The pair eventually gave up expecting conventional help and appealed directly via Instagram with the plea: "Can someone help get us out of the elevator?"
