Tame Impala Brings Out Jennie And Djo In Boston

Stereogum · 3 hours ago

Tame Impala invited Jennie of Blackpink and Djo on stage during its second Boston show at TD Garden, marking the first live performance of the Jennie remix of “Dracula”. The appearance underlines the band’s growing pop crossover appeal, with the remix becoming a major international hit.

“Dracula”, initially released last year, became Tame Impala’s first Billboard Hot 100 entry before Jennie’s remix helped it reach the top five, reportedly the biggest hit for either act. Djo, the musical project of actor Joe Keery and the tour’s support act, also joined Kevin Parker’s band to perform “Loser”, a Deadbeat single whose video he previously appeared in.
