Kevin Parker, the musician behind Tame Impala, has told fans via Instagram Stories that he will stop signing autographs and posing for photos outside hotels, airports and venues after shows. He said the decision follows a rise in aggressive "autograph hound" collectors seeking items to resell, and became particularly uncomfortable when he noticed children being used to approach him. Parker stressed the move was not about distancing himself from fans, urging them to enjoy the shows and get home safely.

Parker explained that he had continued greeting fans after gigs during the European leg of his tour, but crowds grew too large and unsafe to manage without adequate security, prompting his team to ask him to stop. He is currently touring North America on the Deadbeat Tour, running until 20 September before continuing internationally, in support of his fifth album Deadbeat, released in October 2025. The record reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200, while its single "Dracula", later reworked with BLACKPINK's JENNIE, became Tame Impala's first Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at No. 5.
