CBS has confirmed that Marshals, the Taylor Sheridan-produced spin-off expanding the Yellowstone universe through Luke Grimes' character Kacey Dutton, will return for a second season on 4 October. The show forms part of Sheridan's broader effort to build out his television empire at Paramount, even as the original Yellowstone series, which ended after five seasons in 2024, continues to perform strongly as a streaming hit on Peacock and Paramount+.

CBS released a first-look image from the Season 2 premiere alongside the announcement, revealing that the new episodes will see Kacey "go rogue" to save his son while marshals investigate a criminal operation linked to the "east camp land grab". The renewal comes as Sheridan juggles several other projects, including the crime thriller F.A.S.T. with Brandon Sklenar, Jason Clarke and LaKeith Stanfield, due out next May, and a script for Paramount's upcoming Call of Duty film, directed by Peter Berg and slated for June 2028. Sheridan is expected to depart for NBCUniversal at the end of 2028.
