Paramount is exploring a major expansion of Taylor Sheridan's "Yellowstone" universe into video games, according to comments from Shawn Kittelsen, the newly appointed head of creative and production at Paramount Games Studio. Speaking to Polygon, Kittelsen confirmed that "Yellowstone and Yellowstone-adjacent titles" such as "Landman" and "Tulsa King" are priorities for the studio, raising the prospect of the first ever big-budget "Yellowstone" video game. This comes amid a broader push into gaming by Paramount, which last week announced upcoming titles based on other franchises including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The move follows a busy year for the Sheridan-verse on television, with spin-offs "Marshals" and "Dutton Ranch" both renewed for second seasons, though only "Marshals" has a confirmed return date. "Tulsa King" is due back for its fourth season before the end of the year, while "Landman" is not expected to return until after 2026. Sheridan has separately announced he will leave Paramount at the end of 2028, though his shows remain under the studio for now. The action-thriller "Lioness" is seen as offering particularly strong potential for a game adaptation, though no specific titles or release details have yet been confirmed.
